Quoter/Customer Service Representative
Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for
products, projects, or services by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.

Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, and determining cost effectiveness.

Consults with clients or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. May require outside travel to customers facility.

Responsible for working with Production Manager to facilitate scheduling a mutually agreeable order completion date for customer.

Responsible for communicating with customers and keeping them updated on status of estimated job.

Responsible for following up on invoicing questions and problems with jobs estimated.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have proficient blueprint reading skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as manufacturing blue prints and drawings. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and metrics. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Knowledge of geometry and basic trigonometry desirable.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS

Must have basic working knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery.

Must have solid basic computer knowledge.

Must be detail oriented.

Must be able to communicate professionally with a diverse group of people.
